October Creative Competition – Throne Rooms

We’ve had a really exciting round of competition entries in September, with some very detailed builds. Let’s keep it going with October! This time, we’re wanting to see your best Throne Rooms.

The October Competition world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the September gate which will close to building at 9pm on Saturday September 30th.

The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of October 1st, so get thinking about your build! A massive thanks to Kisney for the gate build this month, with a big double throne room to explore!

Season 2 Prizes

As you know, each month we give away the following prizes, now with the new inclusion:

  • 1st Prize: 4x diamond blocks, 1x mega crate key & 15 Emerald Points
  • 2nd Prize: 3x diamond blocks, 1x mega crate key & 10 Emerald Points
  • 3rd Prize: 2x diamond blocks, 1x mega crate key & 5 Emerald Points
  • Honourable mention (1 vote): 1 Emerald Point

Each month the Emerald Points are tallied up and can be seen in the Emerald Hall on the Survival Lobby world. At the halfway point of the season (March for Season 1 and September for Season 2) we give away prizes to the current top three Emerald Points winners:

  • 1st Place: 1x $25 JB HiFi Voucher
  • 2nd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
  • 3rd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher

At the end of the season (June and December), the grand prizes are awarded to the final top three Emerald Points winners from across the 6 months of competition. These are the big ones! This season we’re giving away:

August Minecraft Structures Build Competition Results

It’s results time for August’s Minecraft Structures Build Competition. We asked you to recreate your ideal Minecraft Structures and we had some great results!

1st Place: Meowlicky

Meow has scored his second win with this very striking End Portal build. Those big spikes are brilliant!

2nd Place: Smaug12345

Smaug has gone with a revamped village. Although it’s not quite finished, I love the details in here!

3rd Place: cold_hand

Lastly, cold_hand started with a revamped Nether fortress. I love the look of that large tree. It’d be awesome to see more of this one!

Well done to our three winners! We also had one honourable mention this round, so one more points scorer for the leaderboard!

In Game Prize Collection

A brand new Competition Prize Collection Point has been set up in 120Survival! Instead of prizes being deposited at bases, they’ll all be left at a central prize collection point at John’s Pirate Cove Base. There’s a public pwarp – JohnsanGeezo.PrizePickup120 – that will have protected chests for each player that won a prize – podium OR honourable mention.

Please make sure you collect your items quickly, or you will risk losing them! The items will be ready to be collected tomorrow Sunday 10th September.

Also, the LC Resource Pack has been updated to 1.20, so your trophies will work again. You can download the pack from the Player’s Guide.

September Creative Competition – Waterfront (with bonus prizes!)

Our next creative competition comes with a special partner organisation and some extra prizes!

The WA Government’s Future of Fremantle project has joined forces with LibraryCraft to get some inspiration for Fremantle’s waterfront. Your mission is to let us know what your ideal waterfront would look like, using as many innovative and big ideas as your creative forces will allow.

In addition to the regular Emerald Points prizes, extra prizes will be awarded during this competition for the three most innovative, creative and exciting builds.

1st Prize: $150 JB HiFi Gift card
2nd Prize: $125 JB HiFi Gift card
3rd Prize: $75 JB HiFi Gift Card

Each build also has to include the following:

  • Access to the waterfront
  • Use the water and the land (each plot will be a waterbased plot – it’s up to you to add the land!)
  • Include greenery
  • Include an iconic feature

July Monsters Build Competition Results

It’s time to announce the winners for July’s Monsters competition, which also happens to be the first month of the new season and the first month where honourable mentions get a point!

1st Place: Smaug12345

True to the name, Smaug has created this stunning sleeping dragon with treasure! I particularly loved the smoke coming out of the nostrils. Covering the dragon is a huge mountain with a massive gate. Congratulations on the first win Smaug!

2nd Place: Meowlicky

The texturing in the waves here by Meowlicky is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s stunning!

3rd Place: LoneLittle_

Lastly, LoneLittle_ has created some imposing looking monsters, complete with pointed dripstone as teeth.

Its time for a round two in Season two! This time we’re asking you to reimagine an existing Minecraft structure. There’s plenty of structures around – desert temples, villages, even the new trail ruins – we want to know what you think they should look like!

The August Comp world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the July gate which will close to building at 9pm on Monday July 31st.

The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of August 1st, so get thinking about your build! A huge thanks to Kisney and sirCountDoDo for partnering up on the gate build this month, with a very unique desert well. There’s even some lore inside!

June & Emerald Points Season 1 2023 Results

It’s July and that means three things – school holidays, time to announce the winners for June’s Sport competition, and the results of the Season 1 competition for 2023!

On to the results for June first!

1st Place: RatherQuenched

Getting his second win, RQ has gone with something I reckon really appealed to a lot of us as gamers – a big Wii Sport TV and very nice cabinet! I especially liked the LC and LibraryCraft logos in the cabinets. Congratulations RQ!

2nd Place: sirRubyBird12

Ruby went with a combination of pixel art and building, with her birds playing soccer! I love it!

3rd Place: Meowlicky

Lastly, while it’s unfinished, Meow went with a racetrack, complete with the lights to start and the checkered flag.

Well done to our three winners! We also had one honourable mention this round too – MegRose.

Pixel Expo: Level 2 Ticket Giveaway!

After the hugely successful event last year, Pixel Expo has levelled up to level 2 and will be back again, this time for 2 whole days! Not only that, but we’ll be there too! We’re heading back to the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on the 5th and 6th August. We’ve also got five free weekend passes to give away to our players! Each weekend pass is worth $50, so it’s definitely worth entering.

We’re still working on what we’re going to have there, but we’ll definitely have both the main server and the Vault Hunters server on show for people to check out, plus with two whole days of show, there’s going to be so much more to check out.

May Small Build Competition Results

It’s been a busy few weeks for everyone recently, with exams and other commitments, so true to the name, this competition theme was pretty small, with only 3 entries! Time to announce the winners for April’s Food competition.

Notching up a second win, Ruby has created some very cute kittens! I really liked these – so adorable! Well done Ruby!

Little did a bit of a combination of things – a tiny settlement with a tree farm, and some pixel art! Well done Little!

Lastly, TheGOATED went super minimalistic with a tiny house containing a bed and enderchest! A clever interpretation of the theme!
