Over the last 6 to 8 months we’ve seen the involvement with our builders dwindle. We get it though – we’re all busy with other things to do (and games to play!). The Builder role is a great role to have, as it allows earlier access to development worlds and projects, plus voting in the creative competitions. We did realise that it wasn’t a great deal though, so we’ve decided as a mod and staff team to change up a few things!
A change that will take place straight away is that we’re decreasing the amount of outright competition wins needed to get the role, being reduced from 4 to 3!
From the January competition we will be adding a second, parallel creative monthly competition, just for Builders! Each competition world will have a number of gold bordered plots, reserved for Builders to enter. The builders will also be competing for their own prize – a $50 JB HiFi voucher for the winner of the Builders Creative Competition, each season! Obviously, builders will only be able to cast votes for the regular competition, not for the new Builder competition.
One thing we have decided to also add is a role expiry, which will come into effect immediately. For the current builders, the expiry timer starts for you too. If there is no continued contribution to competitions or other builds, or communication with the mod and staff team for 4 months, their role will expire. If a player wants to get their role back, they’ll need to re-apply by reaching out to us in a Discord ticket, or through in game mail if they don’t have Discord access. We’ll ask that they let us know why they haven’t been around and what they’re able to commit to. We’ll then have a chat as a mod and staff team.
Expired builders will still be able to build in the Builders Creative Competition, but they’ll have a handicap of 15 points – that’s equivalent to a first place vote.
If you have any questions, please let us know. We hope this is a good change!
That’s right, it’s been over two years, but the Head Games is coming back for the Christmas holidays and Term 1, 2024!
Nearly every mob has a chance to drop it’s head on death. Each head (for the most part – there are some that won’t count), is worth points! Some are better than others – the points list will be made available when the competition begins on Saturday December 16th.
Whoever has the most points at the end of the competition (Friday April 7th, 2024), will win – 1st, 2nd and 3rd! In the past there have been a HUGE amount of goodies to win and you can donate prizes as well! Treasure blocks like diamond, netherite, gold, iron, coal and more, plus other goodies too. Drop them into the prize pool hopper at the new Head Games HQ (the HGHQ) by 120 Survival Spawn.
Update: There’s also now three LEGO sets for the top three points scorers!
1st: 31132 Viking Ship & the Midgard Serpent
2nd: 76394 Fawkes, Dumbledore’s Phoenix
3rd: 76181 DC Batman Batmobile: The Penguin Chase
Each registered player will get a chest at the HGHQ with a hopper – the pig’s head statue holds the entrance, which will open on December 16th. Drop VALID heads into your hopper to submit them.
Some things to note:
Don’t submit heads that do not score points
Don’t submit non head items
Don’t name the heads – leave them as they are
Heads from the /heads plugin are different and do not count
Extra point heads will be offered from time to time
Farms to collect heads are allowed, but ONLY if the mobs die by a player’s hand – handheld weapons only
Points will be calculated each Monday, with a hologram leaderboard available at the HGHQ.
To register, simply drop 1 DIAMOND BLOCK with your name on it into the central hopper at the HeadGames HQ by 9pm December 15th.
We’ve had another influx of nominations this month, so let’s take a look!
If you’d like to nominate someone for Player of the Month, you’ll find the link to the form in the menu option at the top of the site. It can be an act of kindness in the server, politeness, etiquette or something similar. Note that this is only applicable to actions in the server, not in Discord.
The Player of the Month will get POTM role in both the server and in Discord, plus two Mega Crate keys to use in the server.
On to this month’s winner!
We had three nominations this month.
cold_hand Cold is always there for me and they are super-duper funny, they always give me tips if i’m struggling in a build. They always play minigames with me and they’re really kind. Cold always lends a helping hand to anyone in need and they totally help new people navigate the server really easily. Cold really deserves to be POTM!
Ezrafixpros he is kind honest and sweet to me and other players I think he’s awesome and brave
Lilmagil Lil is always kind to me; she invites me to play bedwars with her and she always has a positive attitude. She deserves this!
A massive congratulations to cold_hand for being amazing! A worthy winner of POTM. Cold, you’ll find a chest in the Prize Pickup area with your megacrate keys.
It’s almost December, which means it’s almost time for Christmas! One of our players – FantasticFun – had a great idea. Let’s do a Secret Santa! We thought that was a brilliant idea, so we’ve spent a bit of time getting something prepared.
FantasticFun has spent some time creating a stunning Santa’s sleigh with reindeer, and it’s appeared above 120 Survival Spawn. Here’s what you need to know – this information will also be available in the sleigh itself. Just use the gate by the big candy cane at 120 Survival Spawn to get there.
Registrations for the Secret Santa will open from now, and will close December 17th.
If you are registering for the Secret Santa, please make sure you set up a hopper with a chest at your base, so your gift can be delivered secretly!
To register, either send JohnsanGeezo a mail in game, or open a ticket in Discord and let him know you are registering for the Secret Santa!
By registering, you’re committing to sending someone a decent gift. Please don’t register if you don’t intend on sending something good, as it will mean that person will miss out on a gift.
John will send you a mail with who your Secret Santa person is. Please keep it a secret! Gifts are to be delivered between December 18th and 31st.
We’re coming up on the last month of the year. Normally this means a Christmas themed competition, but this year we’ve decided to do something a little different – Farms! It’s always a popular theme so we thought we’d get it going again. Feel free to decorate it all festive too, if you really want to!
It’s also the last competition of the season, so make it count!
The December Competition world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the November gate which will close to building at 9pm on Thursday November 30th.
The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of December 1st, so get thinking about your build! A massive thanks to minywire, _1nfinite_ and Backward_Nemo for the gate build this month!
Season 2 Prizes
As you know, each month we give away the following prizes, now with the new inclusion:
Each month the Emerald Points are tallied up and can be seen in the Emerald Hall on the Survival Lobby world. At the halfway point of the season (March for Season 1 and September for Season 2) we give away prizes to the current top three Emerald Points winners:
1st Place: 1x $25 JB HiFi Voucher
2nd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
3rd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
At the end of the season (June and December), the grand prizes are awarded to the final top three Emerald Points winners from across the 6 months of competition. These are the big ones! This season we’re giving away:
1st Prize: $250 worth of LEGO! It’ll be in the form of a LEGO store voucher, sent online. Nice and easy!
It’s been a while coming, but we’re happy to announce that the 1.20 Survival Trade Hall is now open for business! Firstly, a massive thank you to toothless_spy, Backward_Nemo, Kisney and minywire for the tradehall build! It’s brilliant! So much to explore. You can get there by using the new 120TradeHall gwarp.
To be a part of it you’ll need two things:
1x Shopkeeper Egg (1 Diamond Block)
1x Shop Plot (FREE)
The shopkeeper eggs can be purchased from the villager’s stand by the front door of the Trade Hall. You’re limited to one Egg per player. While it is possible to purchase more, they won’t be able to be used, so you’re just wasting a diamond block – there’s no refunds. When you hold the egg, it will give instructions in chat what to do. Make sure you read them carefully.
Once you have an egg, grab a plot – just like claiming a plot in the Creative competitions, right click a sign. Make sure you make your shop look pretty! We don’t want to see just a villager and a chest. You can only get one plot. If you are caught with more than one, it will be removed without warning or refund. There’s also a height limit of about 4 blocks.
Please make sure you do not destroy any existing walls or builds in the trade hall. Some plots overlap some of the interior walls. Do not destroy them! If there is damage to the interior structure, your plot will be reset without warning or refund.
It’s results time for the October Throne Rooms Build Competition, and man this was a tough one! We had so many massive, detailed builds, it really took some effort to nail down our votes. You should all be so proud!
We’re really excited to see what is coming in the next competition, due to be announced in a couple of week’s time. It’s going to be a good one!
On to the results!
1st Place: Smaug12345
Getting win number 2, Smaug has created a massive and imposing throne room that towers up and has a beautiful stained glass window at the back. I love the wings on the back of the throne! Congratulations Smaug!
2nd Place: qbio
Fast becoming known for his attention to detail, qbio has created an intricate mine based throne room. There’s so much to look at, both inside and outside!
3rd Place: qetzi
Seemingly out of nowhere, qetzi has come back to absolutely dominate the competition with a highly detailed nature build. We’ve not seen qetzi in the competitions since early last year, so it’s great to have him back. This stunning tree-centric build was a joy to explore.
A massive congratulations to our three winners! We also had a whopping six honourable mention this rounds, so more points scorers for the leaderboard!

In Game Prize Collection
A Competition Prize Collection Point has been set up in 120Survival! Instead of prizes being deposited at bases, they’ll all be left at a central prize collection point at John’s Pirate Cove Base. There’s a public pwarp – JohnsanGeezo.PrizePickup120 – that will have protected chests for each player that won a prize – podium OR honourable mention.
Please make sure you collect your items quickly, or you will risk losing them!
Also, the LC Resource Pack has been updated to 1.20, so your trophies will work again. You can download the pack from the Player’s Guide.
It’s been a while, but we now have a third BedWars map to play on, thanks to the hard work of qbio & lielahh! These two excellent builders have (in no time at all) created a Japanese themed BedWars map, called Sakura BedWars.
It’s a 16 player map, with 4 players allowed on each of the four teams. It also looks pretty challenging! A massive well done and thankyou to qbio and lielahh – this looks stunning. Bring on more BedWars!
We’ve had a big increase in nominations this month, so let’s get stuck into it!
If you’d like to nominate someone for Player of the Month, you’ll find the link to the form in the menu option at the top of the site. It can be an act of kindness in the server, politeness, etiquette or something similar. Note that this is only applicable to actions in the server, not in Discord.

On to the winner!
We had six nominations this month.
MegRose They are nice
fallenhasblossom She is slay, very kind and is good at building things
microsoftmaster Micro ticks all of the boxes in order to be POTM, they are always kind and are very generous. They also never constantly ask for things. And even though micro only recently joined LibraryCraft, they have already have a reputation for their generosity.
I’m voting microsoftmaster for player of the month because he never argues with anyone irrationally and never puts you down when you make a lame joke. He’s also very kind.
Welcoming, funny and friendly player. Absolutely deserves this!
Smaug12345 Smaug is a wonderful person, they always help out when they are asked if they can, and they also are a wonderful builder. I hope to see more wonderful people like Smaug, because they really make LibraryCraft what it is.
A massive congratulations to microsoftmaster for being awesome! A worthy winner of POTM. Micro, you’ll find a chest in the Prize Pickup area with your megacrate keys.
