After an amazing first month of competitions, one of the players had a great suggestion – give the players a vote! It was such a good suggestion we decided to implement it, but it does mean a couple of changes.

Some of you also commented that you were a bit confused about how the Emerald Points Competition works. Hopefully this clears it up.

Each month a new Creative Mode competition will start. Seasons will go for 6 months – January to June, and July to December – two seasons per year.

As we started the first season of 2020 in April, 2020’s seasons will be slightly different – April to July, and August to December.

Monthly Builds and Prizes

Each season there will be monthly prizes to the top three builds, as voted by your Moderator team. Each moderator is asked to choose their top three. The votes get given a point weight – 15 points for a first place vote, 10 for second, and 5 for third. Each player’s vote points are then added up and the top three points scorers are then awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the month.

From now on, the monthly prizes will be as follows:

• 1st: 15 Emerald Points and $10,000 in-game currency
• 2nd: 10 Emerald Points and $7,500 in-game currency
• 3rd: 5 Emerald Points and $5,000 in-game currency.

Each month, these prizes will be awarded to the top three voted builds.

Mid-Season Prizes

Monthly Emerald Points keep adding up during the season. At the mid-season point – end of May and end of October in 2020 – more prizes will be given out. These may change each year. This year it’s JB HiFi Vouchers:

• 1st: $25 voucher
• 2nd: $10 voucher
• 3rd: $10 voucher

Again, these go to the players with the most Emerald Points over the course of the competition so far. In 2020 that includes points from April and May; and August, September and October.

From 2021, the mid-season prizes will be awarded after the conclusion of the March and September competitions. That means they’d include points from January, February and March; and July, August and September.

End of Season Prizes

In 2020, at the end of the season – the conclusion of the July and December competitions – the Grand Prizes will be awarded. This season there’s the gaming keyboard and vouchers, but again, these will change each season.

These will go to the players with the most Emerald Points over the course of the whole season – for 2020 that’s April to July, and August to December.

From 2021, the seasons will be from January to June and July to December.

Here’s where it gets a little different.

Player’s Choice

We now want to know what the players thought was the top three. After the conclusion of every month’s competition, the competition world will be changed to Adventure Mode, so no more changes can be made. Players will then have 2 weeks to get their votes in! Voting is done by sending JohnsanGeezo a /mail.

Players are not allowed to vote for their own entry, and must choose their top 3 builds (you can’t vote for the moderator’s builds). Players are also not allowed to buy or bribe for votes. If you are caught doing this, you will automatically be disqualified from getting Player votes for that month.

For April, the world has been closed, but all of the completed entries are now available at the Survival Dock! Use /warp dock to get there. How good does it look!

For the ships that do not have a berth, or are mid air, the building in the dock has some warp signs on the upper floor. Use those to get to the innaccessible ships. Voting closes on Sunday 17th May at 9pm.

The points scoring process the moderators used will be used for the player votes as well.

There are also prizes for the three top entrants in the Player’s Choice.

• 1st: $3,000 in-game currency
• 2nd: $2,000 in-game currency
• 3rd: $1,000 in-game currency
