August Haunted Results

That’s another month of competition down! We’re in our regular quieter season at the moment, but we’ve still had some great entries for the Haunted theme! This was also a very tight competition. We didn’t get any builder entries, because they’ve been busy planning our next Survival spawn area for the new Survival map! Yes, work has begun on the update!

Let’s take a look at the results for the main Emerald Points Competition.

1st Place: WingedPhoenix

After a number of competitions entered, WingedPhoenix (previously known as m1cro and microsoftmaster) has got a win! Phoenix created a rather spooky and fun-to-explore Factory of Reanimation. This one has loads of details to check out, plus a lot of red! I think something bad happened here…

2nd Place: legofanatic212

Legofanatic went with a brilliantly crafted graveyard with spooky tree. The graves around the build all contain usernames of some of our players and mods! Simple, but very effective.

3rd Place: Dragoncosmo222

Dragon built a large glass fronted house with a graveyard out the front, and a large ghost hovering over one of them. It’s a shame the inside of the building was empty, but a cool concept nonetheless!

Honourable Mentions

We had one entry that got honourable mentions this time around!

September/October Creative Competition – Magical Forest

Edit: As John is away for a few weeks over September and October, and for the lower numbers in the server at the moment, we’ve decided to extend the September competition to include October too!

We’re almost through with August – this year once again is flying by! The server is a little quieter this time of year, with schoolwork ramping up, exam preparation starting, and lots of other commitments, but nevertheless, we’ve got another great theme for you all to get stuck into! In September, we’re asking you to build your dream Magical Forest! Given the amount of players that love building natural things, we’re hoping this will be a popular one.

A big thanks to minywire for designing the gate build for the competition!

Extra Builder Rank Requirement

One of the requests this year from the Builder team is to give them a bit more of a challenge, so each month we’ll also be adding in an extra requirement, just for the Builder rank players! Regular competition players do not need to do this.

Include a fairy ring!

Remember, each month counts in terms of points, plus there’s the Builder Rank Competition too – the GOLD bordered plots are for Builders only – do not claim these if you are not a builder. If you do, we will clear them without warning, regardless of whether there’s builds on it or not.

The September/October Competition world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the August gate which will close to building at 9pm on Sunday August 31st.

The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of September 1st, so get thinking about your build!

Prizes will be claimable with a mail to JohnsanGeezo in 121Survival.

Season 2, 2025 Prizes

As you know, each month we give away the following prizes to regular players:

  • 1st Prize: 4x diamond blocks, 1x mega crate key & 15 Emerald Points
  • 2nd Prize: 3x diamond blocks, 1x mega crate key & 10 Emerald Points
  • 3rd Prize: 2x diamond blocks, 1x mega crate key & 5 Emerald Points
  • Honourable mention (1 vote): 1 Emerald Point

Each month the Emerald Points are tallied up and can be seen in the Emerald Hall on the Survival Lobby world. It’s also been given a rather large revamp, thanks to Meowlicky, one of our builders!

At the end of the season (June and December), the grand prizes are awarded to the final top three Emerald Points winners from across the 6 months of competition. This season we’re giving away:

  • 1st Prize: $250 worth of LEGO! It’ll be in the form of a LEGO store voucher, sent online. Nice and easy!
  • 2nd Prize: $100 JB HiFi Voucher
  • 3rd Prize: $50 JB HiFi Voucher

The parallel Builders Creative Competition will be judged at the same time, with the overall winner each season getting a $50 JB HiFi voucher.

You can now buy your own floating island!

That’s right! Inspired by something we did about 5 years ago called The Broken Sky, we’re now offering a once in a lifetime deal! We’re offering the choice of one of four floating islands to be purchased and placed anywhere in the 121Survival world! The prices aren’t cheap, but we know how easy it is to get diamonds these days, so it’s very affordable.

The four islands are able to be explored just north east of the 121Spawn area. For those players without elytra, a handy gate has been created at 121Spawn to get you there too.

On to the prices! They’re also on signs at each island too.

Island 1: 5 Diamond Blocks (also comes with a premade cave and underground farm area)
Island 2: 5 Diamond Blocks
Island 3: 15 Diamond Blocks (double island!)
Island 4: 25 Diamond Blocks

Obviously the centre island is not for sale.

Why this sounds great! How do I purchase one?

We’re glad you asked. It’s very simple! Purchase a token for the island of your choosing from the Shopkeeper on the centre island.

To redeem your token, simply leave it in your inventory! Once that’s done, send a /mail to JohnsanGeezo saying you’ve purchased an island, and the coordinates of where you’d like it to be placed.

Islands will be placed no lower than Y=160, and will be placed at the coordinates of your choosing from the centre point of the island. Obviously you aren’t allowed to place an island where it will interfere with other claims or builds, or above spawn.

Islands will come with a waterfall, to allow players without elytra to get there, and will be pre-claimed for the player that purchased it. Once islands are placed, they are not able to be moved, so choose carefully! Once your island is placed, it’s yours to modify as you see fit (as long as it’s within our LC rules).

Have fun shopping!

July Transport Results

It’s the start of a new season of competition! We kicked of Season 2 with Transport and we had some beautiful builds. These were really impressive! This month we unfortunately didn’t get any builder entries, so hopefully we’ll see some entries from them next month!

Let’s take a look at the results for the main Emerald Points Competition.

1st Place: strxww

Straw kicked off the new season with a beautiful mountainside build with a cable car running to the top! This was really well crafted! So well, in fact, that it secures Straw’s third competition win! That means that we have a new Builder! A massive congratulations to Straw! Welcome to the Builder team. We’ll be in touch with a Discord ticket for what happens next.

2nd Place: TapuFini888

Early in July we saw a couple of our original players re-join after a long time away! It was great to see both Fini and marginalin coming back and getting stuck into a competition! Unfortunately marginalin didn’t get to finish his build, but Fini did, and it looks stunning! A highly textured and detailed fishing dock! This was great to explore.

3rd Place: _Heebyy

This month Heebyy went with a train! I’m very impressed that it’s not just a straight train and track – there’s a slight curve! I love this grass texture look too. Nice work!

Honourable Mentions

We had two entries that got honourable mentions this time around – this was a difficult competition to judge!

    August Creative Competition – Haunted

School holidays have come and gone and we’re already a month into the second season for 2025! As a part of the End of Financial Year competition, the winning build from a Builder rank got to choose the theme for August. CopperJay took it out with a stunning build, and has chosen Haunted for August’s theme! It’s a theme we’ve not done before too, so that’s a bonus!

    Extra Builder Rank Requirement

Nemo’s Forgotten Desert Labyrinth has been discovered!

A huge discovery has been found in 121Survival! Long thought as being lost, the Forgotten Desert Labyrinth of the Great Nemo has been discovered in a distant desert and it contains many hints to incredible treasures. Luckily for you, intrepid explorer, a map of the intricate tunnels in the labyrinth has been laid out. The question is, are you able to find the three clues needed to locate the treasure? To get there, take the gate next to the wheat fields at 121Spawn. A MASSIVE thanks to Backward_Nemo for creating this masterpiece, from the Legend of Zelda!

It’s important that before wandering in to the labyrinth you have a pen and paper with you, or something to take notes with, as the labyrinth is vast and it will be easy to get lost!

Hidden through the labyrinth are three clues. These clues will ask you to locate certain items or scenes throughout the LibraryCraft server. Nearby to these items or scenes will be a code word. The clues need to be written down first, so you can go to them once you have completed the Desert Labyrinth. Don’t leave part way through – the Labyrinth is a mysterious place full of magic! It’s best to complete it first, writing down the clues as you go, to find them later.

Once you have found the items or scenes, locate the code word near to it and write them down carefully – these will be the keys to the treasure! Beware though – there are three clues, but six locations and code words to find.

The three clues are hidden all through the maze, but in order to escape the first level of the maze, you’ll need to get to the centre, where the Great Nemo himself is stood. The second level of the maze is clearly a challenge, but you’ll be able to see through it soon enough, so chin up! Once you are out of the second level, you will find a final code word on a scrap of paper, obtained with a simple button press.

In order to successfully complete the Labyrinth challenge and claim your prize, you will need to submit the SEVEN code words (six locations around the server plus the word on the paper) via a /mail to JohnsanGeezo, the keeper of the Labyrinth.

But what is this treasure I hear you ask? It is treasure fit for the gods!

For members of the main LibraryCraft realm, a treasure box of valuable riches and power – sources of light and noise, natural wonders, ores and riches, armour for your trusted steed, a valued template for the smiths among you, and the mightiest treasure of all – a hammer forged from the trial chambers of the depths.

For members of the newly founded LC Modded realm, a separate box of wonders critical to survival in the harsh sky landscape. Wings, the valued inferium essence, some humble eggs, ores and riches, a cake (simple, yet wondrous), beehives with bees, and a hammer forged from platinum.

So here’s the steps you need to take:

    1. Get a pen and paper (or something to take notes with)
    2. Head to the labyrinth and head inside
    3. Explore the whole labyrinth, to find the 3 CLUES.
    4. Write down these clues as you come across them!
    5. Get to the middle of the labyrinth and drop down
    6. Complete the second level of the labyrinth and press the button at the end
    7. Take the piece of paper with the FINAL CODE (write this down too!)
    8. Get back to spawn and start solving the 3 CLUES to get the 6 CODEWORDS.
    9. Once you have the 6 CODEWORDS, mail them to JohnsanGeezo with the FINAL CODE
    10. Wait for JohnsanGeezo to respond, to claim your prize!

Should you be members of both of these realms, both treasures will be yours!

Good luck intrepid adventurers! Your fortune awaits!

June New End Biome & End of Season 1, 2025 Results

Just like that another season done! It’s cold and we’re a few days into the July school holidays, so let’s find out who won in June, and who took out the whole season! We also had players able to earn a couple of extra points by completing a build in the EOFY competition, so it could be a last minute shake up! We went with New End Biome, and while we didn’t get a lot of entries as people were focused on other activities in the server, we still got some very interesting builds!

As always this year, we’ll get to the builder competition after the main competition’s honourable mentions. This month wraps up the first season of 2025 competition, so we’ll get to the final season winners at the bottom!

Let’s take a look at the results for the main Emerald Points Competition first.

    1st Place: WoodyToucan

Getting his first win, Woody has designed a striking new End Biome, complete with stripes of various materials! This would be a fun biome to pillage. I also like the classic End elements visible throughout the build – dragon heads, end crystals, even a couple of elytra to collect. I’d imagine this would be a rare biome to find, but it would look pretty great in the world! Well done Woody!

    2nd Place: Kyletendo

Kyle didn’t quite finish his build, but I did like the new design of end crystal island! Seeing more of these around the map would be great.

    Builder Creative Competition Results

We had two points scorers for this month’s Builder competition! To find out more about the Builder competition, read the post! It’ll also cover the rest of the Builder role.

    1st Place: CopperJay

I really like this one – one thing the End lacks is colour. There’s not a huge variety! Bringing in some colour in to the land itself looks excellent.

    2nd Place: Meowlicky

I can just see this monumental spire looming into the sky with the spiral cloud above it! This was very cool – the brick built phantoms around it are great! It’s almost like it’s where they come from. Very nice Meow!

    Final Leaderboards

Here’s what the leaderboards look like at the end of season 1 of competition. To make it easier to see each change every month, podium players will be highlighted in blue, and honourable mention players for each month in green! Also, those players that got completed builds in the EOFY competition are highlighted in purple.

    Player Emerald Points Competition

    1. _Heebyy – 27 pts
    2. Evoka – 15 pts (8 votes, 8x 1st places)
    3. Imaginemode – 15 pts (8 votes, 6x 1st places)
    4. Fantastic Fun – 12 pts
    5. GmanPig47 – 10 pts
    6. WingedPhoenix – 4 pts
    7. RubyBird12 – 2 pts
    8. HeyItsGreee – 2 pts
    9. JellyBombs24 – 1 pt
    10. ZacWild5 – 1 pt

    Builder Competition

    1. Smaug12345 – 25 pts

Congratulations to all our winners and entries, and a big congratulations to Heeby, WoodyToucan and Evoka! You three get the big three – A LEGO voucher for Heeby, and some JB HiFi vouchers for Woody and Evoka. Meowlicky also gets a voucher for taking out the Builder competition. For our major prize winners – I’ll be in touch!

WoodyToucan came in with one competition entry to win the month and score second place in the overall standings! A huge switch up in the leaderboard!

Everyone has done incredibly well this season! It’s always fun to judge these. Prizes will be able to be collected from the Prize Greenhouse at 121Spawn as soon as you read this!

    In Game Prize Collection

The 121Survival Competition Prize Collection Point is housed inside the large greenhouse just at the west end of 121Spawn.

    EOFY Creative Competition Results

Back in mid-April we announced a massive, multi-month Creative Competition to round out the 2024/25 Financial Year. It took the focus of the Creative builders for a while, and we’ve got some simply incredible entries out of it!

As a reminder, we had set up a 100×100 plot for each player to build on, with no set theme. The prizes were also bigger too, with a $125, a $75 and a $50 JB HiFi voucher going to 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

There were a few extra necessities though – only completed builds were going to be judged. Players needed to finish their build, then mail JohnsanGeezo in Survival to say it was complete, plus add a lectern on the corner of the build with a description. If builds were completed, they’d get two points in the main Emerald Points Creative Competition too.

Builders were able to enter as well, with a much bigger plot! We asked the builders to do a 100×100 design which we would then tile across the massive border plots. The winning build would get some in game loot as a prize.

Ok, enough writing – let’s dive in to the top three and an honourable mention for the main competition, followed by the builders!

    1st Place: HeyItsGreee

I made this based on a dream. There is the clock at the top of the build in the sky and clocks on the floating islands which shows the time you have in a dream. There is also a bed under the build which shows dreams 🙂 I also added many hidden rooms that are based on dreams you may have 😀 The eyes show when you close your eyes at night to go to sleep. (I tried to make everything mean something lol)

This build is incredible! There is so much to see and in such an amazingly artistic style. This was an absolute pleasure to look through! A massive congratulations to you Greee! Wow.

    2nd Place: _Heebyy

In Central America from the 14th century, Aztecs ruled the land until the Spanish invaded Mexico in 1521, killing the people and destroying the culture. The remains of the Aztecs are still scattered around Mexico through the jungle.

In my build we show these remains and the stories they once held, but maybe, maybe we don’t know as much as we thought about the Aztecs. Maybe it wasn’t the Spanish who killed them? Maye it was something worse? Something much worse?

There is so much detail in this build. From easter eggs all over the place, to a hidden chamber underneath with a very clever all seeing eye. This was spectacular to explore.

    3rd Place: RubyBird12

Yea so… this is a portrait of Billie Eilish. I’ve always loved music and her music brings me so much joy. I also really wanted to do a really massive pixel art 😉

Pixel art at this scale is always really cool to see – it’s amazing how many different blocks go into crafting the perfect picture! Some serious dedication here Ruby! Well done.

    Honourable Mention: WingedPhoenix

Welcome to Micro’s extremely spoopy forest! My aim was to create a haunted house and a cult, as well as a cellar guardian (the hooded eye) and then add extra easter eggs here ‘n’ there. See if you can find em! As you journey through the forest look for cobwebs…

    Builder Competition

    1st: CopperJay

Here is a wonderful river surrounded by foresty biomes. However, remnants of an old civilisation still remain, hidden in the shadows. Take a look around all the paths, caves and shadows in the build, as there may be a few hidden details… Hope you enjoy 🙂

This build is so picturesque! It’s also amazing that it tiles so well, for such a detailed build. You can explore the build and forget where the seam is so you end up looping back on yourself. Stunning job Jay!

    2nd: Meowlicky

Welcome to the redstone cliffs. Excellent views and good heights, with a slight chance of cloudy. I’ve built the redstone cliffs, a mining and steampunk place. Hidden on both ends with cloud and fog, who knows how far these cliffs reach? There’s even talk of a monster in these parts.

This was a very imposing build – with the right shaders and render distance it just looms out over the whole map. I love the hanging tube tunnel and the monster weaving through! Well done Meow.

A huge congratulations to all our players who completed entries! These were an absolute pleasure to walk through and explore. It’s amazing to see what you can do when you have a bit more time!

Greee, Heebyy and Ruby, your vouchers are ready for collection at Fremantle Library! I’ll reach out to you all in Discord or through the server to tee up a time for collection.

CopperJay, you can expect a delivery ready for collection in the prize greenhouse soon!

Want some free loot? Winners Announced!

Update: The closing date has come and gone, and our five winners are:

    • Ezrafixpros
    • HeyItsGreee
    • Dragoncosmo222
    • Meowlicky
    • Endrock6

You’ll find your prizes waiting for your collection at the Prize Greenhouse!

We’re in the middle of getting a big activity set up for people to get stuck into in 121Survival, but while we’re working on it, we thought we’d get you warmed up a little!

Wonder what we’re giving away? It’s a shulker box filled with loot! There’s a catch though.

While the loot is decent, there’s only 5 shulker boxes to give away. The winners will be chosen at random at 9pm on Monday 21st July.

    What do I do?

At 121Spawn there are three greenhouses. In each of those greenhouses is a sign with a keyword. Make sure you write them down! You’ll need them later. Get all three and they will direct you to a final location, where you will need to read the instructions on the wall and press a button. Only press the button ONCE! It will give you a named piece of paper, unique to you.

Do not give it to other players, or you will both forfeit your entries. This giveaway is easy enough for everyone to do solo!

Send a /mail to JohnsanGeezo with the unique word on the paper, plus the three keywords. That’s it!

    Good luck!
