A Special Evaluation Survey for 2024

Near the end of each financial year we conduct an evaluation survey, to give you a big chance to let us know what you think about LibraryCraft. In order for us to make this server the best it can be, and to get some information for the 2023/24 Annual Report, we ask for your input, in addition to getting loads of feedback during the year.

This year, we’re doing something special and very important. As many of you may know, LibraryCraft turns 5 this year! We’ve had the absolute pleasure of seeing a lot of our players stick with us for many years, and we’ve also seen lots of changes in our players for the better. This year, the evaluation survey will be also looking into the social impact of the server – how have our players benefitted from being a part of the community?

LibraryCraft is promoted by libraries all across WA, so this survey will provide feedback to our partner councils on the program, plus allow us to promote the server in a different way, in order to grow. We’ll be gathering information from the surveys, plus Discord as well. All information will be kept anonymous in the final report.

There are two separate surveys in 2024:
– Player’s Survey: https://culturecounts.cc/s/5g5nqb
– Parent’s Survey: https://culturecounts.cc/s/4RrS8A

It’s important that we also get thoughts from the parents, as they’re a crucial part of getting onto the server to start with.

We’re also offering an incentive to give us your thoughts in the Players Survey!

Two player entries will be randomly selected to receive a $50 JB HiFi voucher each! Entries are able to be received from now until 29 April 2024.

The information we receive is incredibly valuable to us as it can help us improve the server and the programs that happen in and around it, as well as seeing how important it is in the community. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Evaluation Survey 2023 Giveaway Winners!

The Evaluation Survey for 2023 is closed, and we got some more great feedback, so thank you to everyone that completed it! We’ll be going through the feedback and getting back to a few people for some more information. We’ll also update everyone on our plans when we’re able to.

We have chosen our three winners though – these players will each get a netherite ingot, a diamond block and two mega crate keys in 120Survival, when that’s ready to go.

The winners are Noodles, Ezrafixpros and sirRubyBird12! Congratulations! When the world is ready to go and you have a base location, let us know the coordinates and we’ll leave a present for you!

Evaluation Survey 2023!

It’s the end of the financial year, so it’s evaluation time! We’d love to know what you think about LibraryCraft. In order for us to make this server the best it can be, and to get some information for the 2022/23 Annual Report, we’re asking for your input.

Don’t forget, we’ve still got the big giveaway happening with The Curse of the Broken Language! We’re giving away a $100 JB HiFi voucher, and that closes on July 30th. We’ve had a few entries already, and it’s not too hard to do.

Thanks for a Minecraft filled 2020!

2020 is done and dusted, and I think a lot of people are glad it’s over. On behalf of the LibraryCraft Staff team, I’d like to say a massive thank you to all our players and families for supporting the server by either playing on it, promoting it to friends, and generally getting excited about it! We had a massive first year of LibraryCraft, and we’ve got so much more planned for 2021.

From a small server for a bunch of CoderDojo kids to the state wide experience we are today, I cannot thank you personally enough for getting on board. Here’s a few fun facts for you:

  • 283 whitelisted players across 39 local government areas all over WA
  • Over 180 entries during 9 months of Monthly Creative Competitions
  • Over 1 year, 2 months and 2 weeks of continuous play since January 1, 2020
  • Almost 40 worlds created and used over 12 months, with almost half still accessible to players

We’ve seen a new Survival system added, new mini games and player created Creative worlds, highly successful school holiday tournaments, competitions, and plenty of new friendships formed and laughs had! I’ll be preparing our first annual report in the coming days so if you are interested in finding out more about the 2020 LibraryCraft has had, stay tuned. I’ll post a link to it here when it’s ready.

For now, take a look through some of the images for the year. Thanks again for the support, and bring on 2021!
