April Build Competition – Ships!

We’re a week out from April – next week our very first monthly build competition kicks off! If you haven’t seen the Competitions page yet, here’s what will happen.

The start of every month brings a new, month-long, themed Creative mode build competition. We’ll give out prizes to the top three entries, as well as Emerald Points. Importantly, all monthly competitions are single player entries only. Unfortunately entries cannot be submitted by a pair of players, or a team, as there needs to be one winner.

With 15 points for a win, 10 for second and 5 points for third, these get tallied up each month. Seasons will normally go for 6 months – January to June, and July to December. During 2020, we’ll do the seasons differently – April to July, and August to December. Whoever has the most points at the end of each season takes home some prizes! But that’s not all.

Prizes

At the end of each month, the month’s winner will get some in-game currency – $5000 for a win, $2500 for second, and $1000 for 3rd.

After 3 months, we’ll give away some JB HiFi vouchers to the three players with the most Emerald Points – $25 for 1st, and $10 each for 2nd and 3rd.

At the end of the 6 month season, there are the grand prizes – gear like gaming keyboards and mice for the winner, and vouchers for second and third places.

So, onto this season. As the title suggests, we’re going to be making ships!

The competition for April goes from Wednesday April 1st, to Thursday April 30th.

Rules

All building must be in Creative Mode
This is a Single Player Competition – Team builds are not allowed
Ships can be any style or size, but MUST be contained in a single plot
Builders can claim ONE plot only
Plots are 30×60 water plots (see the video below)
All entries must be built on the April Comp world
Builds must not go over the jetty borders
Designs must be your own – no copying from online

Judging will take place during the first week of May. The April Comp world gate, located on the Warp Ship, will close to players at 9pm on Thursday April 30th. All players still in the world at this time will be teleported back to spawn.

The gate will re-open for the May competition during the morning of May 1st.

Winners will be notified by an in-game mail sent to all players. In order to claim your prize, you must log in so JohnsanGeezo can pay you.

After the competition is complete, the builds will be moved to the new Survival Dock being built on the Survival world, so everyone can explore them.

End of Season Prizes

At the end of the season (the end of July), the player with the most Emerald Points will be deemed the winner, and will receive a new keyboard!

Specifically, the Steelseries Apex 3 Water Resistant Gaming Keyboard. Second place will take home a $50 JB HiFi Voucher, with third taking away a $25 voucher.
