It’s almost Halloween, so back by request are our custom Halloween hats! We’ve got five to choose from this year, at only one diamond each!
From left to right:
The Pumpkin (it fits better on a regular sized head – the Villager heads are too tall!)
The Witch’s Hat
The Top Hat
The Trick Arrow (a little hard to see in the image!)
The Horns
These are only available in 1.20 Survival. The shop is located at JohnsanGeezo’s Pirate Bay base. It’s a big glowing pumpkin on the hill – you can’t miss it!
In order to see them you’ll need to download the new server resource pack, available at the bottom of the Player’s Guide.
Never used a resource pack before? That’s ok! Once it’s downloaded, in Minecraft select Options from the main menu, then Resource Packs. Make sure you do not unzip the file. It needs to stay zipped. To locate the correct folder to put it in, click Open Pack Folder (at the bottom) and drop the resource pack .zip file in. It will appear in the Available column. Select it and then click the > Arrow to move it over to the Selected column, then click Done. It will load it so the models are visible.
Huge news! It’s been a while (we were focused on 1.20 Survival!), but the LibraryCraft Vault Hunters server has been updated to the latest version, 3.11.4.
No idea what we’re talking about? LC Vault Hunters is a modded 1.18.2 server for LibraryCraft players aged 13 – 17. You can read more about it at the LCVH page.
So what’s been added? A lot! The last update we had was the new Vault decor blocks, new mob dungeons, and a lot more. Now we’ve also got:
Buffs to a lot of items (key pieces have been tripled, higher trinket chances and more)
Potions have had a major rework, with new vials that can now also be used in the overworld (you can only recharge them inside vaults)
5 new vault themes
New armour sets
New talents
The hydrovoid modifier on jewels (tools can break liquids and completely void them – very useful in the overworld)
The vault clock now starts when the player leaves the vault room
If you’re the right age and have logged at least 12 hours of play on the main LibraryCraft servers, then reach out to us either in Discord, or in game using /mail send JohnsanGeezo.
If you’ve played before, update your install to the latest release through CurseForge and you’re good to go!
We’ve had another big round of competition entries in October, with some more high quality builds! Let’s start thinking about November – the end of the year is looming closer! In November, we’re asking you to reach for the skies with your best Skyscraper build.
The November Competition world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the October gate which will close to building at 9pm on Tuesday October 31st.
The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of November 1st, so get thinking about your build! A massive thanks to crazycollie & Kisney for the gate build this month!
Season 2 Prizes
As you know, each month we give away the following prizes, now with the new inclusion:
Each month the Emerald Points are tallied up and can be seen in the Emerald Hall on the Survival Lobby world. At the halfway point of the season (March for Season 1 and September for Season 2) we give away prizes to the current top three Emerald Points winners:
1st Place: 1x $25 JB HiFi Voucher
2nd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
3rd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
At the end of the season (June and December), the grand prizes are awarded to the final top three Emerald Points winners from across the 6 months of competition. These are the big ones! This season we’re giving away:
1st Prize: $250 worth of LEGO! It’ll be in the form of a LEGO store voucher, sent online. Nice and easy!
Something that LibraryCraft has done for a while now is Project worlds. There’s an area for Projects in the Creative Lobby, and a book to read all about how to apply, but read on anyway!
Do you have an idea for a big creative project? It can be something you’ll want the download for, or something that could potentially be included in LibraryCraft itself. While you can build it in single player, Project world users get the opportunity to use some basic WorldEdit functions in their maps, if they’ve used it before, as well as a special Projects role during the lifetime of their project.
Project worlds can be made available for you in the Creative Server. There’s space for four. Project worlds are strictly limited to a small project team and the mod team, and you’ll need to either open a General Support ticket in Discord, or submit a written book to Johnsan’s current main Survival base with the following information:
What is the project? What’s it for, the name of the world, what it will look like etc.
Who will be building it? It’s best to keep the list small, so it’s manageable – we suggest four players maximum.
An idea of the size and layout, so we can create a worldborder to fit.
What surface you need – void, superflat, water, whatever. We won’t upload custom worlds from players. We can create a world for you instead.
If you have Discord we can set up a channel for your team, so the mods can assist and provide advice where needed.
A schedule of work – how long it will take, what will happen each week etc.
If a project hasn’t had any progress for a period of time, we may decide to remove the map from the server.
In the past we’ve had a number of projects – new BedWars maps (Christmas and Arena for those of you that remember them), PVP maps like Pirates and Magical Oasis that are still in play now), and a couple more that were downloaded.
At the moment we’ve got three projects on the go!
Hogwarts
Mostly created by crazycollie, with some help from JtripleM, this is the longest and biggest project we’ve got – a full scale rebuild of the entirety of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. This massively detailed monster build includes a full size Quidditch pitch, the Whomping Willow, Hagrid’s hut, and a superbly detailed Great Hall, and that’s just the start. This will eventually be moved into the Minigames server as a bit more of a hub for some minigames.
Click on the images above to see a full screen version.
Sideways PVP
It’s Minecraft, but on it’s side! This is going to be a fun new PVP map created by Meowlicky, with a bit of a twist. The image below is taken from the top of the map, looking straight down!
Sakura BedWars
Lastly, and the newest one to the list is a Japanese style BedWars map by qbio and lielahh – just a teaser image for now!
We’ve got a couple of new ideas that have been submitted as well, so there’s more fun to come! While the maps above are all going to be included in LibraryCraft for people to play and explore, it’s not a guarantee that all projects in the future will be incorporated. It takes a bit of work for Johnsan to get them implemented, and we also don’t have the space to keep adding new maps. That being said, you can always ask for a download, and we can keep a copy of them to rotate through at a later date, if they’re workable!
If you have any questions about Projects or anything else in the server, you can get in touch with the team through Discord, or by using /mail send in the server!
It’s results time for the special September Waterfront Build Competition. This was the special competition we ran in partnership with the WA Government’s Future of Fremantle Project, where we asked you to recreate your ideal waterfront and we had some really incredible results.
This was easily the hardest competition we’ve had to judge so far, and it’s also been the closest, with 2nd and 3rd getting equal points, so coming down to a vote count!
The winners of this round of competition also score some extra prizes thanks to our sponsors, for the three most innovative, creative and exciting builds.
1st Prize: $150 JB HiFi Gift card 2nd Prize: $125 JB HiFi Gift card 3rd Prize: $75 JB HiFi Gift Card
On to the results!
1st Place: qbio
A newcomer to both LibraryCraft and the competition, qbio has created an incredibly detailed (and deep) medieval style waterfront. A highly detailed building on the water’s edge, followed by a diving reef underneath. There’s even a deep dark water section, complete with skull of something ancient and very large. Congrats qbio!
2nd Place: Meowlicky
Just getting in by one vote to get second place, Meowlicky has gone a more traditional waterfront look, with a big shipwreck cafe as the main attraction!
3rd Place: YanMan_
Yan also went with a more traditional waterfront option, with a coral reef, ferris wheel and loads of people walking around. It looks like a llama went for a boat ride too!
Well done to our three winners! We also had four honourable mention this rounds, so more points scorers for the leaderboard!

Mid- Season Prize Winners
Lastly, there’s the mid-season winners! After the September competition we give some smaller prizes to the current top three. That means Meowlicky, Smaug12345 and (sneaking in last minute) qbio! Meow gets a $25 JB HiFi voucher, with Smaug and qbio getting a $10 one each.
A huge congratulations to all our winners and honourable mentions! The in game prizes should be ready by the time you read this post, and we’ll reach out to the voucher winners on Discord for next steps.
In Game Prize Collection
A Competition Prize Collection Point has been set up in 120Survival! Instead of prizes being deposited at bases, they’ll all be left at a central prize collection point at John’s Pirate Cove Base. There’s a public pwarp – JohnsanGeezo.PrizePickup120 – that will have protected chests for each player that won a prize – podium OR honourable mention.
Please make sure you collect your items quickly, or you will risk losing them!
Also, the LC Resource Pack has been updated to 1.20, so your trophies will work again. You can download the pack from the Player’s Guide.
It’s been a few months since we’ve had a nomination, but we’ve got someone for October!
If you’d like to nominate someone for Player of the Month, you’ll find the link to the form in the menu option at the top of the site. It can be an act of kindness in the server, politeness, etiquette or something similar. Note that this is only applicable to actions in the server, not in Discord.
The Player of the Month will get POTM role in both the server and in Discord, plus two Mega Crate keys to use in the server.
On to the winner! The mods also noticed this player being awesome as well…
Congratulations to Evoka!
Here’s the nomination text:
They have been nice to me and all other server members.
We’ve had a really exciting round of competition entries in September, with some very detailed builds. Let’s keep it going with October! This time, we’re wanting to see your best Throne Rooms.
The October Competition world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the September gate which will close to building at 9pm on Saturday September 30th.
The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of October 1st, so get thinking about your build! A massive thanks to Kisney for the gate build this month, with a big double throne room to explore!

It’s results time for August’s Minecraft Structures Build Competition. We asked you to recreate your ideal Minecraft Structures and we had some great results!
1st Place: Meowlicky
Meow has scored his second win with this very striking End Portal build. Those big spikes are brilliant!
2nd Place: Smaug12345
Smaug has gone with a revamped village. Although it’s not quite finished, I love the details in here!
3rd Place: cold_hand
Lastly, cold_hand started with a revamped Nether fortress. I love the look of that large tree. It’d be awesome to see more of this one!
Well done to our three winners! We also had one honourable mention this round, so one more points scorer for the leaderboard!

In Game Prize Collection
A brand new Competition Prize Collection Point has been set up in 120Survival!
The items will be ready to be collected tomorrow Sunday 10th September.
Also, the LC Resource Pack has been updated to 1.20, so your trophies will work again. You can download the pack from the Player’s Guide.
That’s right, the dynmap is back for 1.20 Survival! Now you can have a live overhead map of the Survival maps – that includes 1.20 and 1.19 Survival, Biblos’ Temple, and the Survival Lobby.
It’s also had a bit of a facelift, so it looks much cleaner. One feature we’ve not used as much but can make use of in this version are map markers. Easily findable, these will allow us to pinpoint bases and other key locations on the map as they appear.
If you’d like a marker set at your base, mail JohnsanGeezo in game, or open a ticket in Discord and he’ll set one up. You’ll need to provide your base coordinates and what you want it to be called.
Lastly, the dynmap can be found in your browser of choice at:
There’s a couple of little things we’re still waiting on and there’s going to be some teething issues from time to time, so please be patient with us. The most important thing you can do is tell us! If you see something that’s not quite right, please let us know in a Discord ticket, or in game if you don’t have Discord.
A few things to note:
The Netherwill not be accessible until Monday after school – you’ve got a weekend to chill and explore the map. Find a spot to build and get settled in!
The End is also inaccessible for now. We’re not encouraging speedruns, as it tends to annoy people. We don’t have a date for when the End will be open to exploring, but stay tuned.
The /tpr command, the Daily and Mega crates are set up and ready to go in 1.20 Survival, but we can only have one world with them, so they will no longer work in 1.19 Survival.
There’s also a strange glitch with sleeping in Survival – some random code appears in chat. Sleeping still works as intended, but we’re looking into it. Not a big deal.
Finally, a massive thanks to the build team and mods for creating our new Japanese inspired 120Spawn! Big shout out to Kisney, sirCountDoDo, crazycollie, Backward_Nemo & JohnsanGeezo for getting stuck in. It looks superb.
