Time to announce the POTM for March! We had three nominations this round.
Here’s the nominations.
Dirtyfoot
Although some people think that dirty is quite mean in bed wars I think that he really helped me get better at it. Not only that but he is always up for helping out around my 1.19 base.
RubyBird12
Ruby’s really nice, kind and good at building. Ruby’s also good at giving directions and is never angry at losing at bed wars
FazerSheep99
Fazer is an incredibly generous player. He has done so many things from being a great sport in bedwars to giving things to others. Fazer definitely deserves to be POTM.
Congratulations to FazerSheep99! Fazer will get a special rank in the server for a month, with [POTM] visible after his username and two Mega Crate keys to spend in 119Survival.

This one should be a fun one as the whole server’s feel is generally medieval themed!
The March Comp world gate – located in the Creative Lobby – will replace the February gate which will close to building at 9pm on Tuesday February 28th.
The gate will open in the Creative Lobby on the morning of March 1st, so get thinking about what you’d like to build. It can even be something modern with a medieval feel. Get creative!
Season 1 Prizes
As you know, each month we give away the following prizes:
Each month the Emerald Points are tallied up and can be seen in the Emerald Hall on the Survival Lobby world. At the halfway point of the season (March for Season 1 and September for Season 2) we give away prizes to the current top three Emerald Points winners:
1st Place: 1x $25 JB HiFi Voucher
2nd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
3rd Place: 1x $10 JB HiFi Voucher
At the end of the season (June and December), the grand prizes are awarded to the final top three Emerald Points winners from across the 6 months of competition. These are the big ones! This season we’re giving away:
1st Prize: $350 worth of LEGO! The winner would let us know what to order (dependent on availability of course), up to $350 and we’ll get it delivered to you.
It’s been a while, but we’ve got a brand new PVP map! A map concept originally by Meowlicky, it was taken over by RubyBird12 with some assistance from CountDoDo pretty early on and has transformed into the image above – a perfectly named Magical Oasis!
The map has been added to the HungerGames setup as a PVP option for a maximum of four players. There’s loads of hidey holes, as well as open spaces to run and cramped spots for a close quarters battle. This will be a fun one, as the entire island is also hollow, to allow for some cave battles too.
Well done to the team for building this great map!
Do you have an idea for a big creative project? Need a map for it? Project worlds can be made available for you in the Creative Server. Project worlds are limited to the project team and the mod team, and you’ll need to submit a written book to Johnsan’s current main Survival base with the following information:
What is the project? What’s it for, the name, what it will look like etc.
An idea of the size and layout, so we can create a worldborder to fit.
What surface you need – void, superflat, water, whatever. We won’t upload custom worlds from players. We can create a world for you instead.
If you have Discord we can set up a channel for your team, so the mods can assist and provide advice where needed.
A schedule of work – how long it will take, what will happen each week etc. If a project hasn’t had any progress for a period of time, we may decide to remove the map from the server.
If you have questions about Project worlds, feel free to get in touch! Have fun in the Magical Oasis!
We’ve had a few requests for this one recently, so we’ve listened and brought it back! Spleaf (otherwise known as Dripleaf Spleef or Dripleaf Runner) is now available for testing and playing in the Minigames server. It’s as yet untested but should be fine.
You’ll find the gate to Spleaf under the massive dripleaf next to TNT Run in the Minigames Lobby. The game is easy! Run around the dripleaves and try not to fall through them. Fall through and you’re out.
Make sure you read the signs properly and follow the rules! Let us know how it goes in Discord or in game. Have fun!
That’s right! This was a heap of fun last time we ran it, so we’ve decided to do it again. The LibraryCraft Big Base Swap is an opt-in base swap. Players will be assigned a different existing base on 119Survival to modify and call their home for a while.
To be a part of the fun, simply place a signedbook (signed with YOUR username) into the chest that’s in the house behind the statues at 119Survival (the one with the big red arrow above it in the image below). The book must also include the coordinates of your base.
Here are some important rules:
You are not being forced to do this! It’s only if you want to.
No clearing out items from chests before you leave. You can only take tools, one set of armour, netherite ingots, your elytra and rockets. Everything else must stay behind. Everything.
If you have multiple bases, you must give up your best 119Survival base.
No destruction for destruction’s sake. Feel free to talk to the original owner to see the direction they wanted to take, but it’s also up to you if you want to do something different. Remember though – you are modifying bases, not completely rebuilding. No tearing down what’s there already.
No swapping back straight away! You must have the new base for at least 1 month before asking to swap back. You can of course stay swapped for longer. Remember, be nice to each other.
The draw will be chosen by John.
Mods will be allowed to participate! You might get a mod’s base…
Whatever you do not use during the swap must stay at the base! No blatant robbery.
The LCBBS Round 2 is now open for entrants! Registrations will close at 9pm on Sunday 5th March. Plenty of time to build a base if you haven’t yet…
Your new base name (and location) will be in your mail the following morning. The deed to your new property (the book) will be in a chest at that base. Don’t lose it! You’ll need to swap them over again at the end.
Before you leave your base, make sure you leave a book with some ideas or guidelines for your base, for the new owner!
That’s right! You asked for it, we delivered! The Creative server is now home to a build battle minigame and arena. We thought it’d fit better in the Creative server.
To start with we’ve got one arena that can hold up to 18 players. It’s a 10 minute build timer and you can vote on the topic to build on. More of these topics can be added, so feel free to suggest more! After the timer has elapsed, you’ll be teleported to each plot to vote.
You can automatically change the floor block type, add lots of different particles, change the time of day, add rain and of course build! There’s also a couple of commands to use:
/bg leave to leave the match halfway through
/bg stats to see your statistics!
We’ll be adding a team build battle option as well, but feel free to suggest any tweaks you might like to see.
It’s been great to see a heap of buzz around the LC Create server, since we announced it in early January! We’ve done a lot of testing and have come up with a really solid mod pack experience. We’re actually now in the process of building the spawn area, and it’s looking great! You can see a few work in progress images below.
So what do you need to know? Read on! We’ve got some entry requirements, a modified sanction system and specific rules that will need to be followed, plus some changes to the modpack. We’ve also got a launch date!
Entry Requirements
This server is strictly 13 – 17 year olds in Western Australia only. We won’t be letting players on before they are 13, or because of experience with the installed mods. You need to be a minimum of 13 years old.
You will also need to have logged a minimum of 12 hours of play in the main LibraryCraft server network first. That doesn’t include AFK time. This is so everyone who is in LC Create understands the rules and how the main server runs.
As there’s a few more freedoms in this server, we’re still ensuring that the environment is as ChildSafe as we can possibly make it. In order to do this, we’ve decided to add another step to the process, in the form of a Server Terms of Use form that both the player and their parent has to sign. This form is still being developed, but will be made available to players once we’re ready to go. As this is a different server than what you and your parents originally agreed to participate in, we’re making extra sure that everyone knows the rules.
So, if you can see the extra LC Create channels on Discord, and you have completed the Terms of Use form, you will have access when the server launches. Note that the Discord channel access list has changed! If you had access before, you may not necessarily have access now, depending on the amount of hours you’ve played in the main server network. Once you have logged the hours, get in contact with us with either a ticket in Discord, or via the whitelist email.
Additional Rules
In addition to the main rules, which will also be in effect for LC Create, we have added the following:
Tunnel bores (mechanical drill rigs) to be no bigger than 5×5 drills.
You cannot start your tunnel bore and then log off. If your tunnel bore is in operation, you should be with it. A good practice is to follow the bore with torches to light up the tunnels. You can then collect the ores it misses.
Tunnel bores should not be used within 1000 blocks of spawn.
Tunnel bores not to be used near populated or built up areas. Unwanted tunnels probably won’t be the aesthetic people are after!
Password protected voice chat groups will not be permitted.
As a courtesy to others, please ask in chat before joining voice chat groups. The only exception to this rule is for mods and staff.
TNT columns or blocks not to be used. Use TNT sparingly.
Modified Sanction System
What is a sanction system? It’s the consequences for breaking the rules. In the main server network it’s a warning, jail time and then a ban if it escalates. For LC Create, it is different.
Failure to follow the server rules (including the additional rules) will result in:
1st offense: Written warning (in game/Discord)
2nd offense: Permanent ban on LC Create
If the issue is deemed serious enough, it will also result in jail time or a ban in the main LibraryCraft server network as well. A first offense may receive a greater loss of privileges in some cases.
Note: players that have received bans in LibraryCraft will not be permitted to play on LC Create.
Important differences between LibraryCraft & LC Create
There are some important differences between LibraryCraft and LC Create.
There is no option to roll back inventories. If you lose something, we won’t be able to get it back! Be careful.
Graves will spawn on death but will not keep experience orbs, and backpacks will be placed next to the graves. If you die in the void, you will lose your backpack.
TNT will be on, but use it sparingly.
Claims should be used as they will protect your items and builds!
A separate Player’s Guide will be made available closer to the release date. Make sure you familiarise yourself with it!
The worldborder has been set to 6k x 6k. Plenty of room to explore!
Changes to the Modpack
To make the modpack workable for as many different types of setups as we can manage, we’ve made some tweaks to it for balance and optimisation.
We’ve removed William Wythers’ Overhauled Overworld & Oh The Biomes You’ll Go and replaced them both with Terralith for overworld terrain generation.
It Takes a Pillage removed as the structures were far too rare.
The Nether is now generated with BetterNether.
And a few other tweaks and changes here and there!
Please note that not every PC will be able to run the modpack. We’ve optimised it as best we can, and have had some success with low end PCs already, but each setup is different, and we can only provide limited support for set up.
So when is this all happening?
Release Dates
The Terms of Use form will be available Friday March 3rd.
The LCC Player’s Guide and link to the modpack (to be found in the Player’s Guide) will be available on Thursday March 9th. This is so it can be installed and you can have a read, ready to go because…
The LC Create server will be available for play after school on Friday March 10th!
If you have logged enough hours in LC, are the right age and have completed the Terms of Use form, you will be whitelisted, ready to go on Friday. If you believe you have enough hours, please get in touch with us in Discord or via the whitelist email and we will verify.
If you have any questions about anything LC Create related, you can reach out to us in Discord, or via an email to whitelist@librarycraft.net.
I’ll leave you with the teaser trailer to get excited!
I can’t believe we’re already a month down in 2023! Time to announce January’s winners and honourable mentions for the Ocean competition.
Note: There’s a new way to collect prizes! Read on…
1st Place: Noodles257
After a bit of a hiatus, Noodles is back and has scored his first win with this amazing and highly detailed underwater observatory! This was a lot of fun to explore.
2nd Place: LordSquid__
Squid crafted a highly detailed kraken and some massive eels, which were actually used as a part of some LC Empires lore, being displayed in that map too! Well done Squid – I love the boat!
3rd Place: Strawfolk
Straw decided to build a lonely lighthouse with some tunnels under the water. I really like the simplicity of this one. Straw also snatched third place with just five extra points!
Honourable Mentions
We have a huge six honourable mention this round, with players scoring some votes, but not enough to make the podium finish. They each get a diamond block! Another tough round to judge!
Smaug12345
Grey_Wolf_Gamer
Pixelater3000
Meowlicky
Cometcraft42
toothless_spy
Well done to all our entries!
Prize Collection
To make things a little easier on me, a Competition Prize Collection Point has been set up in 119Survival! Starting this month, instead of prizes being deposited at bases, they’ll all be left at a central prize collection point at my 119Survival Base. There’s a public pwarp – JohnsanGeezo.CompCollectionPoint – that will have protected chests for each player that won a prize – podium OR honourable mention.
Please make sure you collect your items quickly, or you will risk losing them!
We’re already a month in to 2023! Time flies. We just had the one nomination this round, so this will be a shorter one!
Congratulations to RubyBird12! Ruby will get a special rank in the server for a month, with [POTM] visible after her username and two Mega Crate keys to spend in 119Survival. Here was the nomination entry:
Ruby honestly deserved this a long time ago, she’s been super active, helpful, and generally a great member of the community. She’s also helped me out a lot in Empires, and let me use her anvil. She’s always open to playing minigames with everyone too. This sounds like I’m writing a school award, but it’s true! 😀
